Then, since 8 binary positions make up a single character, this would be referred to as a byte (1 character = 1 byte of information). From time to time, old-style programmers used half of the 8 binary positions for various reasons which being a half byte, can you guess what this became known to be?.......A nibble.

So now I am going to teach you how to count binary using a nibble and your hand.
